Broadway in the Park is the Suwanee Performing Arts’ signature summer production performed in Town Center Park each July. This annual event is our largest community event each year. By turning the amphitheater into a Broadway-style stage with professional lighting, sound, costumes, and sets, the community’s talented high school, middle school, and homeschooled students can experience local stardom as they perform for the masses.

This event is known to draw crowds into the thousands, delighting business owners, audience members, cast, and crew alike. This fabulous, fun-filled night under the stars has been making an impact since 2007!

Thank you for sticking with us as Broadway in the Park returns to Suwanee’s beautiful Town Center Park after being canceled in 2020 due to the pandemic. Set sail with us for one weekend only, July 30 & 31, opening at 7pm with Gilbert & Sullivan’s The Pirates of Penzance, JR., followed by Disney’s Moana, JR. Make either day a family day at the park. And don’t forget your lawn chairs and blankets!

Disney’s Moana JR. is based on the 2016 Disney film, with music by Lin-Manuel Miranda. It’s a thrilling and heartwarming stage adaptation of this coming-of-age tale. Moana sets sail across the Pacific to save her village and discover the truth about her heritage. She and the demigod Maui embark on an epic journey of self-discovery as she learns to harness the power that lies within. With its empowering message of bravery, Moana JR. is sure to awaken your inner hero!

The Pirates of Penzance JR. is based on the 1980 Broadway production that ran for over 700 performances and earned a Tony award for Best Revival and the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Musical. Although it debuted in 1879, The Pirates of Penzance remains one of Gilbert and Sullivan’s most beloved musicals and includes the famous “I Am the Very Model of a Modern Major-General” patter song. It’ll have you laughing out loud!

During this year of transition, we have made some changes to the reserved seating area in Town Center Park. This year the entire lawn section within the sidewalks in front of the stage is restricted to a limited number of ticket holders. This reserved premium seating is available for a tax-deductible donation to Suwanee Performing Arts. Color-coded wristbands will serve as your “ticket” and must be worn in the reserved seating area at all times. You may pick these up in advance from Suwanee Academy of the Arts between July 19-29, or at “WILL CALL” upon arrival. Please be advised that wristbands cannot be replaced once received. Seating in the reserved seating area will begin at 4:30pm.

Please look at the chart below to see the approximate locations and capacity, then click on the link(s) below to make your selection. Please note that we cannot guarantee your choice of area, but we will honor your selection(s) whenever possible. You will receive a separate confirmation email verifying the space reserved.

ONLY Lawn Chair & Orchestra Seating is available. All other seating is no longer available.

UPDATE: As restrictions loosen, we are able to offer INDIVIDUAL “Orchestra” and “Lawn Chair” seating once again! Lawn Chair seating provides each individual with a square of lawn space; you bring your own chairs and blankets. Orchestra seating is sitting room only (please, no chairs). These areas will be seated on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 4:30pm.

Due to seating limitations and because orchestra seating tends to sell out quickly, reservations for orchestra seating may be found separately BELOW. You will receive an email with your confirmation. Download or print the confirmation email to exchange for your wristband “tickets.”
