Suwanee Performing Arts (SPA) is pleased to announce it has received a $5,000 grant from the Gwinnett Creativity Fund. These funds will boost general operating funds lost due to the 2020 cancellation of programs, including Broadway in the Park, during the COVID-19 pandemic. This is the second year that SPA has received the grant.
Suwanee Performing Arts (SPA) is a nonprofit community arts organization founded on the principle that “art is life.” SPA’s mission is to ignite a passion for the arts which nurtures and inspires the creative leaders of tomorrow through the magic of live performance. SPA envisions a culturally vital community where the performing arts are available and accessible to everyone. SPA’s programs are supplemented by fundraisers, corporate sponsors, and individual donors. Priority seating and recognition is offered in exchange for the tax-deductible gifts received.
Gwinnett Creativity Fund (GCF) recognizes the inherent value of the arts to a community’s success and seeks to increase Gwinnett County’s profile as a cultural, inclusive destination where the arts educate, elevate, and inspire. For 2021, the Gwinnett Creativity Fund Operations Grant has been designed to provide an element of support for arts organizations that have felt the impact of Covid-19 and are charting a course to emerge stronger. This grant is administered and managed by Explore Gwinnett.
